A good 45 minutes northwest of Hamburg, amid open fields and a gently flowing river, sits the listed historic farmhouse where Awaru hosts its Inner Evolution retreats. The lovingly restored main house, with its wooden beams and large fireplace, invites both conversation and quiet retreat, while the old barn — converted into a light-filled ceremony space complete with grand piano and a collection of instruments — forms the heart of the property. A garden, sauna and quiet corners for journaling complete the setting.
The retreat follows the Inner Evolution Method: a deliberately contemporary, non-shamanic approach combining emotional process work, awareness practice and embodiment with optional participation in three night-time master plant ceremonies. Every day features two guided integration circles alongside meditation and workshops, and the space is held by a multidisciplinary team of psychotherapists, psychologists, medical professionals and musicians. Groups average around 15 participants, ranging from their mid-twenties to seventy.
