Ayahuasca Retreat for Inner Clarity & Peace in Assen

About this retreat

Three days of country air instead of everyday noise: at a roughly 400-year-old farmhouse near Assen, where deer regularly pass through the garden, the Ancient Mother Healing Center hosts a compact ayahuasca retreat with two ceremonies. The group numbers no more than twelve, accompanied by a team of four experienced guides. Host Margriet was initiated into the Shipibo tradition in Peru and has many hundreds of guided ceremonies behind her.

The team deliberately promises no breakthroughs but creates the space where they can happen: sharing circles, meditation, breathwork and guided hikes alternate with plenty of unscheduled time. Guests sleep together in the ceremony hall on thick mattresses, free of Wi-Fi and distractions; a sauna and garden are available. Meals are plant-based and light. Anyone travelling by train is picked up free of charge from Assen station – the retreat closes in the early afternoon of day three.

Programme

1. Day 1 (Friday): Arrival by 1 pm, tea and getting to know the group, the first ayahuasca ceremony in the afternoon, followed by a shared meal and rest.
2. Day 2: Gentle morning with a walk, journaling or conversations by the fire, sharing circle – the second ayahuasca ceremony in the evening.
3. Day 3: Nourishing breakfast, closing circle with integration guidance for the time ahead; the retreat ends in the early afternoon.
