What is psilohuasca?
Psilohuasca (also "truffle-huasca") combines psilocybin truffles with an MAO inhibitor from the ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis caapi). The MAO inhibitor prolongs and deepens the truffles' effect, producing a visionary experience similar to ayahuasca.
The difference from classic ayahuasca
Classic ayahuasca contains DMT and is illegal in Germany and most European countries. Psilohuasca instead uses psilocybin, which is legal in the Netherlands in truffle form. The experience is often described as somewhat gentler but similarly deep.
Why many centres switched
After the 2019 Dutch court ruling, numerous centres switched from ayahuasca to psilohuasca to work within the legal framework. This lets them offer professionally guided ceremonies without legal risk for participants and facilitators.
Is it right for me?
